Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure, stopping for lunch and refreshments en-route to our resort hotel.
DAYS 2-4 At leisure with two included excursions. Northern Lakeland, Keswick, Grasmere & Derwentwater with optional* boat cruise: First stop today is Grasmere, a charming village in the heart of the Lake District National Park, with the opportunity to visit Dove Cottage, the home of William Wordsworth.We continue to Derwentwater, a peaceful and picturesque area where there will be an opportunity for an optional* boat cruise, the ideal way to fully appreciate the beauty of the area.We shall also be visiting the Lakeland town of Keswick.
Southern Lakeland, Hawkshead, Coniston & Ambleside: Today our excursion is to the southern lakes, with a stop in Hawkshead, passing Hill Top, the home of Beatrix Potter.We also visit Lake Coniston, the scene of numerous water speed record attempts, and the inspiration for ‘Swallows and Amazons’.We return to our hotel via Ambleside.
LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for home, arriving during the evening.

Hydro Hotel, Windermere
The Hydro Hotel is situated in an elevated position overlooking the Lakeland town of Bowness-on-Windermere and Lake Windermere. Facilities include restaurant & bar and there is a lift to all floors. Guests can enjoy free use of the leisure facilities including swimming pool, jacuzzi & gym. All 57 en suite bedrooms offer TV, & tea/coffee making facilities. Porterage is included.
