Itinerary
DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure, stopping for lunch and refreshments en route to our resort hotel.
DAYS 2-6 At leisure in Torquay with three included excursions. The English Riviera, with its 22 miles of coastline, cliffs, coves and beaches to explore and enjoy, has been one of the UK’s top holiday destinations since Victorian times. See the sparkling white villas perched on the verdant hilltops, beautiful gardens around the seafront and elegant Victorian facades along the main streets. Torquay is also a vibrant and forward-thinking resort attracting visitors of all interests, from Art and Culture aficionados to marine enthusiasts. Torquay's waterfront is the focus of life in the town, here you'll find the palm-lined promenade, seafront gardens, a lively harbour and an international marina.
Devon Coast, Brixham & Dartmouth: We travel along the famous Devon coast. Stopping first at Brixham, an old and picturesque port. Then it is on to Dartmouth, another beautiful and well-preserved old port.We return to Torquay via the resort of Paignton.
Plymouth: We visit Plymouth, the vibrant regional capital of Devon and Cornwall. This thriving modern city is also a historic seafaring port.
Dartmoor: We travel to and experience the evocative atmosphere of Dartmoor, with visits to Princetown, the highest village on Dartmoor and Widecombe-in-the-Moor, set in the beautiful Widecombe Valley. In the village you can see Church House and the adjoining Sexton’s Cottage. The building dates back to the Sixteenth Century and is of architectural and historical interest.
LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for home, arriving during the evening.

Barceló Imperial Hotel, Torquay
This 4* hotel is situated close to the marina and has fantastic views over the bay. The 152 en suite bedrooms mirror the charm and character of this majestic Riviera hotel. They are classically decorated with traditional furnishings including a seating area, they also provide satellite TV, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift to all floors and porterage is provided. Guests can enjoy free use of leisure facilities which include squash and tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, spa and jacuzzi. You could also treat yourself in the beauty salon which offers aromatherapy and massage treatments (treatments are not included and prebooking is recommended). Please note that the outdoor swimming pool is fully open from the 1st July until 31st August. However it is open on weekends only but subject to weather conditions from May until the end of June.
