Itinerary

DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure, stopping for sightseeing in Oxford, before we continue to our chosen hotel.

DAY 2 Stratford upon Avon with optional* guided tour: We travel to Stratford upon Avon, which steeped in culture and history has an association with the playwright William Shakespeare, whose birthplace, now containing a small museum, is one of several timbered buildings that have been preserved or reconstructed here. There is a wealth of things to see and do including five houses connected with William Shakespeare and his family including where the poet was born, lived and died. The most famous of all and perhaps one of the most famous buildings in England is Anne Hathaway’s Cottage.

Whilst here join our optional* guided tour of one of Britain’s most visited towns.

LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for home, stopping for sightseeing in Warwick, best known for its magnificent castle (entrance not included). This historic town is well worth exploring, with its small shops and number of museums. We arrive home during the evening.

Honiley Court Hotel
Situated in a peaceful location in the rural village of Honiley in Warwickshire is the charming 4 star Brook Honiley Court Hotel that dates back to the 16th century when it was originally constructed as a farmhouse. All en suite bedrooms feature hairdryer, TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift however porterage is provided and ground floor rooms are available upon request.

Holiday Inn, Kenilworth
This modern 4* hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of Kenilworth and facilities include a lift, an atmospheric brasserie and restaurant as well as a Starbucks. All 115 en suite bedrooms are decorated in contemporary style and feature air conditioning, satellite TV, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer.
