DAYS 2-3 At leisure with one included excursion. The Black & White Village trail & Hereford Cathedral: This morning after a leisurely breakfast we travel to Leominster via the villages of Weobley, Pembridge and Eardisland with their unique black and white houses. You will have ample opportunity to explore these beautiful villages and perhaps indulge yourself in a delicious Herefordshire cream tea. The Black and White villages are famed for their many timbered and half-timbered houses, some dating from medieval times. They form a treasure trove of buildings' whose exterior black oak beams contrast with their white painted walls, creating a very distinctive impression differing from building styles outside this area. Returning to Hereford in the late afternoon we visit the historic Hereford Cathedral (entrance included) where you will be able to see the Mappa Mundi the 13th century map of the world and the Chained Library exhibition where the oldest volume dates back to the 8th century.

LAST DAY Travel home: After breakfast we depart for home stopping en route in Windsor for lunch and sightseeing. Arrive home during the evening.Green Dragon Hotel, Hereford

Located in the heart of the city of Hereford on the same street as the cathedral. The central location offers easy access for shopping, museums, art galleries and river walks. All en suite bedrooms are on upper floors, are accessible by a lift and come equipped with TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Porterage is included at this hotel as is tea & coffee which is served after dinner.
