Whitby & Heartbeat
The old whaling port of Whitby hidden on the north Yorkshire Coast is always a favourite, with its history clearly visible from the ruins of the 13th century abbey, to the narrow streets and the Whale bones openly displayed on the cliff top. We also visit the North York Moors and discover the village that sets the scene for TV’s popular Sunday night series ‘Heartbeat’.
York
Experience the historic city of York with its magnificent Minster, which towers over the whole city. Wander through the Shambles reflecting time gone by, visit the famous Jorvik Viking Centre, discover the national railway Museum or stroll along the picturesque river bank.
