Itinerary
Day 1 Departure
A morning departure to Dover and our ferry crossing to Calais. We then continue through Northern France to Paris.
Day 2 At leisure
At leisure in Paris, with a choice of optional excursions.
Optional Excursions
Half Day Sightseeing tour & Seine River Cruise An optional guided sightseeing tour of Paris. Departing after breakfast, we take in the most famous sights, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysées, Opéra and many more. During this tour there will be the opportunity to take an optional Seine River cruise on the famous Bateaux Parisiens. Then free time to explore the shops before returning to the hotel.
Optional Excursions
Evening Paris by night & the Latin Quarter An optional excursion seeing Paris by Night & the Latin Quarter on the Rive Gauche (Left Bank). Choose from hundreds of intimate little bistros ranging from traditional French to Oriental or join us in a French restaurant for an evening meal with drinks and entertainment included. We return on our coach past some of the major sights of the city.
Day 3 (4 day holidays only) At leisure
Optional Excursions
Full Day Eiffel Tower, Palace of Versailles A free day or join us on an optional excursion to the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles. We first visit the world-famous Eiffel Tower, giving you the opportunity to travel up to the second stage for a spectacular view across the Paris skyline (extra cost). We then follow the River Seine to the beautiful town of Versailles, with free time to take lunch in town. Afterwards, stroll in the 250 acres of classical gardens, or for an additional charge, tour the main parts of the Palace, the “Palace of Palaces”, the official residence of three kings, the Hall of Mirrors, State Apartments and the Royal Chapel. (Please Note: Any entrance fees are not included).
Optional Excursions
Evening Montmartre, the Sacré-Coeur and Pigalle This evening, join us on our optional evening excursion visiting Montmartre, the Sacré- Coeur and Pigalle. You can see the famous Moulin Rouge, where colourful and exotic shows are held every night. From Pigalle you will have ample time to take the funicular railway up to Montmartre and the Sacré-Coeur, the highest part of the city, with a wonderful panoramic view.
Last Day Travel home
We depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.
