Holiday Description
Located at the southern end of the Fal estuary, Falmouth is the principal resort of the southern Cornish Riviera. One of the foremost holiday destinations in the UK, Falmouth offers so much from superb Blue Flag beaches, sailing and cliff walking to a bustling town centre and peaceful and colourful gardens. Rich in history, Falmouth is home to Pendennis Castle, one of Henry VIII's finest coastal fortresses located at the entrance of the third largest natural harbour in the world, which boasts an array of delightful yachting boats.
Holiday Itinerary
Arrival Day: After joining the coach via one of our departure points or our executive Door2Door service, you will be introduced to your professional driver and whisked away in comfort to beautiful Falmouth. We aim to arrive for between 3-4pm so that you can relax before your evening meal and settle down for your first night.

Full Day Excursion: After breakfast we set out and head North East to Mevagissey, a magical Cornish fishing village on the Cornish south coast. Home to traditional white and coloured washed seaside houses perched on the hilltop, overlooking the pretty harbour. Wander the lovely narrow streets where you will find a treasure chest of little shops and eateries. From here we travel to Truro, Cornwall's only city. Marvel at the beautiful Georgian architecture and impressive cathedral and peruse the wide ranging stalls of the Pannier Market.

Free Day in Resort: Free time to explore and enjoy your holiday resort Falmouth. Relax in your comfortable hotel surroundings or venture out to see the local sights which include one of Henry VIII's finest coastal fortresses, Pendennis Castle, which has defended Cornwall against foreign invasion since Tudor times.

Full Day Excursion: Today we are heading to the West of Cornwall with our first stop at the ancient market town and capital of the far west - Penzance. Set in beautiful Mounts Bay, Penzance's abundance of historic buildings and complimenting modern facilities offer plenty to amuse all visitors. From here we take a scenic drive, taking in one of Britain's most famous landmarks and most south-westerly point - Lands End. Here you will have opportunity to marvel at the 200ft high granite cliffs that rise out of the Atlantic Ocean. You can gaze across to the Longships Lighthouse and out towards the Isles of Scilly twenty eight miles away. Our final stop of the day is the quintessential English fishing village of St Ives with its narrowing meandering streets and pretty harbour.

Departure Day: Make the most of the wonderful food that is on offer for breakfast this morning. After a fabulous holiday, it's time to bid farewell to your hosts and Falmouth for your journey home, taking wonderful memories with you.
