Itinerary

DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure, stopping for lunch and refreshments en-route to our resort hotel.

DAYS 2-4 At leisure this Christmas with one included excursion & the traditional Christmas festivities: Scarborough, Britain’s first seaside resort, has been welcoming visitors for over 360 years and is still as popular as ever. The sandy, accredited beaches of the North and South Bays are broken by a rocky headland on which stands Scarborough's medieval castle. The resort offers first-class attractions, including the award-winning Sea Life Marine Sanctuary and Scarborough Art Gallery.

North York Moors National Park, Whitby, Goathland & Pickering: We travel across the dramatic North York Moors National Park. Passing Robin Hood’s Bay, we call at the fishing town of Whitby with its quaint old cobbled streets and picturesque houses standing on the steep slopes of the River Esk.Whitby is dominated by its cliff-top abbey. The narrow streets and alleys climbing down to the quays of this seafaring town still bustle as they have done for centuries.We return through “Heartbeat Country”, calling at Goathland and Pickering.

LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for home, arriving during the evening.

The Brooklands Hotel

This hotel has a beautiful Yorkshire stone frontage with bay windows and the picturesque Victorian terraced building adds to the traditional feel of Christmas. The hotel enjoys panoramic views across the tree lined Esplanade gardens and across the south bay, towards the old town and harbour. All 63 en suite bedrooms include TV, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities. The extra touches to make Christmas special is a visit from Santa with a gift, traditional Christmas day lunch with glass of wine, the chance to view the Queens speech on TV, Christmas quiz & bingo and evening buffet dinner, welcome sherry reception, live entertainment each night, and an afternoon tea and mince pie, these are just some of the inclusions that we have on offer for you during your stay.
