Christmas Break
• Traditional Christmas Day lunchDAYS 1-2 Departure & Travel to Diano Marina: A morning departure to Dover and our ferry crossing to alais. We then continue to our overnight hotel. Next morning we enjoy a day of ever-changing scenery as we drive via the city of Lyon following the River Rhône, continuing our journey southwards into Italy to our resort of Diano marina. With fine sandy beaches, Diano Marina lies in a position sheltered by hills covered with olive trees, which gently slope down to the sea.

DAYS 3-6 At leisure with one included and two optional* excursions. During your stay truly celebrate the festive season and enjoy 5 nights ‘free bar’ for 6 hours each evening (local brands, Terms apply). If joining us for Christmas you can enjoy a Christmas Day dinner and if joining us for New Year, enjoy a gala dinner followed by an evening of live musical entertainment.

Monaco & Monte Carlo by day: We visit the two most important parts of the Principality, first of all the Rock of Monaco, the capital of this tiny Principality, to see the Grimaldi Palace (entry subject to opening times), the Cathedral of Monaco with time to see the Changing of the Guard, shop, and soak up the atmosphere. In the afternoon we make our way to Monte Carlo, to visit the most famous casino in the world. We then visit the most important 'Parfumerie' in the South of France, where during a guided visit the secrets of the perfume industry will be revealed.

Optional* excursion - The secrets of the Italian & French Rivieras: A guided excursion to show you the secrets of the Italian and French Rivieras. Enjoy the spectacular Italian coastline and discover the valleys and hidden villages. We first visit the old stone village of Dolceacqua. Enjoy an optional Ligurian lunch, and of course, the local wine. Then on to delightful Menton, the favourite winter resort of Queen Victoria. This is the town of lemons, and you will see for yourself the importance of the citrus fruits to this area.

Optional* excursion – Alassio: Taking a drive along the Ligurian coastline, you have the opportunity to visit one of its most delightful resorts.

DAY 7 & LAST DAY Travel to overnight hotel & Travel home: After breakfast we leave Diano Marina, heading back into France to our overnight hotel. Next morning we depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.Piccolo Hotel, Diano Marina

This hotel enjoys a quiet elevated location not far from the beach, facilities include, outdoor pool, restaurant and bar. All en suite rooms feature a shower TV, and safe. Sea view rooms are available upon request as are rooms with a balcony or terrace (subject to availability) Crusader Holidays customers will receive a Welcome drink and 1⁄4 litre wine served nightly with dinner at this hotel. In addition, complimentary tea/coffee will be available all day from the hotel bar and there will be a nightly free bar on local brands (terms apply*). This hotel has a lift and porterage is included.
