Description

Welcome in 2013 in Rüdesheim, a popular resort on the banks of the Rhine. Its half-timbered houses, cosy beer cellars and cobbled streets lend it an undeniable charm.

Itinerary

DAY 1 Departure: A morning departure to Dover and our ferry crossing to Calais. We then continue through Northern France and Belgium and on to our hotel in Rüdesheim. (Due to the time of arrival dinner will not be included this evening)

DAY 2 New Year’s Eve - St Goar, Boppard and Alken: After breakfast we make the short journey to Rüdesheim to join our boat cruise to St Goar. There is no better way to discover the Rhine Valley than from your cruise boat sailing through some glorious scenery with castles and hillside vineyards. We continue to cruise downstream to St Goar and from here we continue by coach to the historic town of Boppard. Enjoy free time to explore the many lanes and little squares this riverside gem has to offer before we return to Rüdesheim to enjoy the New Year celebrations. To start your New Year’s Eve celebrations enjoy a gala dinner at the hotel followed by entertainment. At midnight Rüdesheim becomes illuminated by fireworks.

DAY 3 At leisure: Enjoy a day at leisure to relax or explore your beautiful surroundings, the perfect start to your new year.

LAST DAY Travel home: We depart for Calais and our ferry crossing to Dover, arriving home during the evening.
