Description
Newquay is Cornwall's premier holiday resort boasting some of the finest coastline and beaches in Europe. Although well known as Britain's surfing capital, there are many other activities and the surrounding countryside has an endless wealth of fascinating places to visit. The town is an ancient one - the "new quay" from which it takes its name dates from the early fifteenth century! The heart of the town is the old harbour but it spreads along the cliff tops which stand behind the eleven magnificent sandy beaches. Newquay offers wonderful cliff and beach walks, a picturesque harbour to explore and the variety of activities one associates with such a major resort, including swimming pools, golf, putting, squash, tennis, bowls, boating, shark fishing and horse riding. There are also the atmospheric smugglers' pubs which are a living reminder of the more colourful side of Cornwall's history!
Itinerary

Full Day Excursion to the Eden Project
The Eden Project is worth visiting for its architechture alone. But of course the plants are the real stars and its collection of tropical and warm temperate plants will fascinate even the non-gardener - and delight and amaze those with a passion for gardening. An amazing experience!
